Meh to Memorable: How to Make Your Brand Unforgettable

A clear vision gets you up and running, but proper execution is needed to build a lasting brand. If you are ready to bridge the gap between having an idea and making it stand out, here is how to present your offering, own your voice, and turn customers into advocates.

Don’t Think Outside the Box – Package It Your Way

If you are building a business around a product or service that already exists, you have probably been a user yourself and noticed its weaknesses. Do you have an idea how to overcome them and make the experience better? Great, you have your starting point.

Do market and competitor research. See what established brands in your field are already doing. The key to differentiating yourself is balancing tried-and-true tactics with your authentic angle.

Resisting the urge to chase every trend can be difficult, especially when you see a competitor’s content going viral thanks to a trend on Instagram or TikTok.

But zoom out for a second. You aren’t just a service provider; you are also a consumer. You get bored or annoyed when you see the same content repeatedly. At some point, everything blends, and you can no longer tell who created what.

Would you like that to happen to your brand?

In the long run, authenticity wins. It may not bring you the most prospects, but it will surely bring you the right ones; the ones who come and stay.

You Don’t Work With Accounts – You Work With People

Certain terminology exists for a reason, but the way we approach work has become increasingly generic, distant, and transactional.

We no longer say we did the job; we say we hit the target. We talk about chasing leads rather than collaborating with clients. Customers are no longer people coming to us for a solution; they have become accounts we need to close.

That jargon sounded corporate and impressive for a while. But customers are increasingly less tolerant of it. They never really wanted it. And today, they are much more vocal about it.

Whatever the size of your business, there is no excuse for failing to give each customer genuine attention. Your product may attract them, but your approach is what makes them stay (and recommend you to others).

While we live in a digital-first world, people still deeply value physical, personal touchpoints. But it’s not an either-or situation. A timely welcome email can make a customer feel valued, while thoughtfully designed promotional material (brochures, cards, bags, mugs, apparel) can turn an ordinary interaction into something they remember.

Combining modern printing trends with proven digital tactics gives you more ways to create meaningful experiences and lasting relationships. You must know your audience. While we live in a digital-first world, people still deeply value physical, personal touchpoints. Combining both creates a lasting impact.

Customise your communication across every channel. Tailor your message to each customer based on their unique challenges, needs, and stage in their journey. Some people will appreciate a timely welcome email, while others will stay loyal forever because of a thoughtful, handwritten note.

You Don’t Sell the Product – You Sell the Solution

Customer experience is another buzzword we throw around constantly. But behind the phrase is the core of what great businesses have always done; we just gave it a modern slogan.

It’s the same whether you are a plumber, a lawyer, or a tech engineer. Your offering goes beyond the service itself; it’s about what that service represents to your client.

Remember, people purchase for logical reasons, but emotions are always involved, just to varying degrees. Ultimately, people will remember you by how your product or service makes them feel.

Make a list of the emotions you want your brand to evoke, and build an experience that consistently delivers them.

Find Your Voice – And Make It Universal

Consistency is critical for business success. It applies to your brand image, sales principles, and marketing strategy.

Let’s say you build an excellent product. That’s great, but if your onboarding is clunky, customers won’t stick around. Same with social media. Your feeds across channels might look polished, but if your comments feel generic or DMs go unanswered, people will unfollow.

That’s why you need a unifying statement to stay aligned across departments.

Every touchpoint must reflect the same standards. From prospecting and sales to onboarding, issue resolution, and milestone celebrations. Any mismatch will lead to doubt.

Define your voice early, embed it into every process, and let it shape the entire customer journey.

Create Your Brand Story – And Don’t Be Shy to Tell It

“Markets are oversaturated” echoes across industries. But if anything, today’s customers appreciate having choices.

In a sea of copy-paste offers, people naturally gravitate towards brands with a distinctive voice and the confidence to show it. It may take a while to build momentum (and sometimes even longer than that), but owning your perspective is what turns a one-time interaction into a lifelong partner and your most devoted brand advocate.
